Short-term Study Abroad

Applications for the Third Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Category 2 Loans (Short-term Study Abroad)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Students (Japanese nationals or foreign students with residency in Japan) enrolled on a full-time undergraduate or graduate course that wish to study abroad at a foreign university or graduate school for a short-term period (minimum 3 months, maximum 1 year) between December 2013 and March 2014.
* ‘Japanese residents’ do not include international students.
* The study abroad period may be extended to 2 years if the student is pursuing a double degree program of longer than a year, and if credits earned during the study abroad period will be counted towards their degree at this university.

2. Students who wish to undertake one of the following study abroad programs:

  1. Programs based on student exchange agreements, etc.
  2. Programs in which credits can be counted towards a degree at this university.
  3. Programs deemed to be useful foreign research experience for graduate students.  

3. Application period *Application cannot be accepted by post

Friday 30 August 2013 – Friday 13 September 2013 (excluding week-ends)
