Past Examination Papers

  • A collection of past entrance examination papers for the Master's programs of the Departments of Language and Information Sciences, Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies, Area Studies, Advanced Social and International Studies, Graduate Program on Human Security and Graduate Program on Global Humanities are available for purchase at Todai Kyouzai Shuppan (the University of Tokyo Educational Materials Publisher) (03-3813-7389) in the Hongo Campus, and at the University of Tokyo CO-OP bookstore in the Komaba Campus.

How to Request the Application Guidelines

You can obtain an application guidelines and relevant forms at the counter of the Graduate School Section, the Academic Affairs Division, or by postal mail.
Note: For applicants of the Graduate Program on Global Society and the Graduate Program on Environmental Sciences, the webpages are the only sources of information. The application guidelines and related forms are available online at http://gsp.c.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ (GSP) and http://gpes.c.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ (GPES)

Receiving at the Counter

Please pick up at the Graduate School Section (counter number 5), located on the first floor of the Administration Building in the Komaba Campus.

By Post

Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope (※a specified size (Kakugata 2-gou) envelope only) to the address below. The postage varies according to the department or program you will apply. See the postage price chart below.
※Make sure to send us a specified size (Kakugata 2-gou) envelope (34cm length x 25cm width x 3cm thickness). Otherwise, it takes a long time to receive the application guidelines since the postage varies from the chart below. For more details of the postage, visit the website of Japan Post.

Applicants must specify the department/program, the course and the degree you will apply in red on the front side of an envelope (e.g., "Request for Application Guidelines for Master's Program: Department of , Graduate School of Arts and Sciences" If applying for the Department of Multidisciplinary Sciences, write the course name as well).

If you wish to have application guidelines sent overseas, please check the website (only in Japanese).
