Request Regarding the Information Security Education for
All Users of the University's Information System
The "Information Security Education" will be conducted as follows. Please inform all students, faculty and staff members in your departments that it is mandatory for them to take this course every year.
1 Eligibility:
All members who use the University's information systems (those who have been granted a UTokyo Account). Students on leave of absence will also be required to take the course if they wish to use UTokyo Account.
2 Period:
Monday, March 2, 2026 from 13:00 - Wednesday, May 7, 2026
3 Implementation method:
Please take the course from the following portal site.

Please note the following when using UTokyo Wi-Fi, UTokyo VPN and UTokyo Slack.
About UTokyo Wi-Fi
UTokyo Wi-Fi accounts will be issued for the academic year 2026 starting on 13:00 of March 2, 2026 on the condition that members have:
(1) Attended the University of Tokyo Information Security Education (AY2026) and passed the verification test.
(2) Completed setting up the multi-factor authentication for UTokyo Account.
*UTokyo Wi-Fi accounts issued by 12:00 of March 2, 2026, are valid until May 7, 2026.
About UTokyo VPN and UTokyo Slack
If you have not passed the verification test by May 7, 2026, your service will be suspended on May 8, 2026. These services can be resumed immediately upon completion of the information security education and passing the verification test.
Members who are granted a UTokyo Account on or after March 2, 2026, are required to take and pass this training before they can begin using the various services.
