「Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Prizes」

The Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and Peace were defined in Alfred Nobel's will that he signed in Paris, November 27, 1895. He gave the instructions to establish a fund, whose interest was distributed in the form of these five Nobel prizes. In this talk I will give a short history of Alfred Nobel and the establishment of the five prizes. I will also describe the selection process and give examples of Nobel Prizes in Physics. As stated in Alfred Nobel's will, no consideration is given to the nationality of the candidates and the most worthy shall receive the prizes. The first prizes were awarded in 1901 and today we have Nobel Laureates from more than 70 countries.

皆様のご参加を心よりお待ちしております。
