＜東京大学大学院講義「地域文化研究特殊研究V」概要＞
今年で15年目を迎える学際講義「地域文化研究特殊研究V」。今期のテーマは「Beyond Borders: Navigating Health Knowledge for Well-being」です。本講義では「国境を越えた知識と資本の連携を通じて『UHC × ウェルビーイング』をいかに実現し、アジアにおけるがんやNCDs（非感染性疾患）の負担を大幅に軽減できるか？」という問いに焦点を当てます。UHC（ユニバーサル・ヘルス・カバレッジ）とウェルビーイングをキーワードに、高所得国発の知識体系と低・中所得国（LMICs）の知見をいかに結び付けるかを検討します。また、公共セクター（UHC政策）と民間セクター（投資・ビジネスイノベーション）の双方を活用した協働的ソリューションのデザインにも取り組みます。さらに、がんやNCDsといったアジアの喫緊の健康課題に対して、生成AIなどの最新技術を活用し、産官学連携による価値共創型の実践的実装デザインを探求します。

This year marks the 15th offering of the interdisciplinary course "Special Research in Regional Culture Studies V." The theme for this term is Beyond Borders: Navigating Health Knowledge for Well-being. The course centers on the question: How can we achieve "UHC × Well-being" through cross-border collaboration of knowledge and capital, and significantly reduce the burden of cancer and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Asia? To address this, we will examine how to connect knowledge systems originating in high-income countries with the insights of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), leveraging both the public sector (UHC policies) and the private sector (investment and business innovation) to design collaborative solutions. We aim to explore practical implementation designs--through industry-government-academia partnerships and by leveraging cutting-edge technologies like generative AI--that co-create value in tackling Asia's urgent health challenges such as cancer and NCDs.
